The Early Christian mosaics of Ravenna and the concept of "Total State" through the clothes depicted in the mosaics. Frontality is the only form of expression allowed. A total State is precisely an ideologized State, in which some watchwords assume greater importance than that of the individual, generating an apparently rational attitude, in reality completely dogmatic and fideistic, which is expressed in the concept of “Nomos Empsychos” or “Incarnation of the Law”
