Glass and caramelized sugar are similar, so much so that they can be confused;
Playing on this similarity I made some caramel mosaics, and therefore edible, which take up some recurring figures in the Byzantine mosaics of Ravenna: The detail of the dress of a lady of the procession of Theodora; Lily; a star in the sky of the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia and the red cistus.
