L’ego is Luca Barberini’s newest project, curated by Alessandro Randi / CODECZOMBIE.
With the presentation ofthis collection the artist continues to raise awareness about our impact on the planet, this time pushing both the conceptual and technical boundaries of mosaic art. It is one work of art divided into 6 independent subjects, which are in turn handed to the consumer as tesserae. And just as the most famous toy on the market presents its toys to the public it is presented as a kit: a box, instructions, numbered bags and in this case also a putty knife, a frame and hanging fittings.
Five numbered copies will be available for each of the six subjects in a limited series of 30 pieces. With this play on words between the name of the famous toy company and the desire to express his artistic vision, Luca Barberini examines the confines of what ego means and the ways in which relationships between people are determined.
